Ever wondered why shadows are dark? Or if sound travel faster in light or in water? What causes a 'free wheel' in a bicycle? Many such day-to-day science trivia go unanswered in textbooks.

Now Discovery Kids ScienceAdda is organizing a week long “Amazing Science” festival in conjunction with the Seasons Mall @ Magarpatta City in Pune. The festival will culminate with a 2 day inter-school competition called “ThodPhodJod”.

The 3 categories of ThodPhodJod will be:

REUSE : (Eg. What can be done from waste mineral water bottles)
RENEW : (Eg. How would someone re-purpose a car reverse sensor as a proximity sensor)
RECREATE : (Eg. How one could use car sensors / mobile vibration to create a haptic shoe)
